AG Fails to talk about Government's Dishonesty
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is running around Fiji talking about “lasulasu and jhoot” while he refuses to talk about the Government’s own dishonesty, said National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad.
“We know elections are coming because all of a sudden the Attorney-General gets off his high horse and pretends he is a man of the people,” Professor Prasad said.
“He has nothing to tell them – so he clutches at straws and just accuses everyone else of lying.
“He ignores the lies on his own Government’s Facebook page about where the Prime Minister was on 4 January.
“He ignores the lies that have been told about whether the angiogram facilities at CWM Hospital were working.
“And there are some truths he does not want to face - like the disastrous state of our water supply. 15 years on, he cannot lie that this is the fault of past governments.
He does not want to face the truth about the Government’s huge debts – debt that he ran up to fuel his lies about the “Bainimarama Boom”.
“He is the one who is accountable to the people of Fiji for the state of the nation after 15 years. And as it gets worse and worse, there is no way out for him.
“But there is one truth that, very soon, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum will have to face – that he and his government are on their way out.”
