Almighty God, we your children who are assembled here, embracing as we do all the major religious faiths of this world, pray that we be granted the strength to work for the unity and welfare of all the people of this land, irrespective of race or colour or creed, and grant us the wisdom to treat and consider all matters that come before us without fear, prejudice or ill will towards anyone, so that we may all join hands to promote thy honour and glory here in our land as in the world at large.
