Political wolves like PM & AG will be booted out

Political wolves like Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum will be booted out of government by the voters at the polls, said National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad.

Professor Prasad said they, together with the People’s Alliance will be the shepherds in government to provide care, compassion and empathy to the people at all times “unlike the wolves who have been kicking people from pillar to post for almost 16 years”.

He made the comment after the PM, during an interview with New Zealand-based Radio Tarana, and reported by FBC News this week said “Wolves do not lose sleep over the opinions of sheep,” when commenting on Opposition parties campaigning for the next elections.

“Maybe this is the “new way of thinking” that his Attorney-General is talking about”, the NFP Leader said.

“But the PM is right. Because that is exactly what the Fiji First Party is – an animal that can only survive by destroying others. That is Fiji First Party politics. It does not bring people together. It does not act in a kind, caring and compassionate manner”.

“It uses all the powers of the Government to target its opponents and to rule by fear. It uses stupid electoral laws to restrict the opposition from campaigning freely”.

“Yet, government ministers who are politicians, are flouting all campaign laws by using tax payer funds and forcing civil servants including teachers to do the same”.

“If the PM thinks that those who support the opposition are “sheep” we will meet that need. We will, when the PA-NFP government comes to power, accept the role of shepherds”.

“We will look after everyone and be fair and compassionate to everyone”.

All the people have to do now is to kick the wolves out the door”.
