National Federation Party President Pio Tikoduadua says he is wondering if there is any Government Minister in control of his or her ministry.
Mr Tikoduadua says he is also wondering if there is any Minister who even knows what is going on in his or her ministry.
His comments come in the wake of public statements by Defence Minister Inia Seruiratu over the draft Police Bill.
“I see now Mr Seruiratu is blaming his officials in the Defence Ministry for releasing the Police Bill. He says that his Ministry was only supposed to ask people what they wanted in a new police law”.
“He says he is going to investigate what happened in his Ministry”.
“This is the same line that Premila Kumar (Local Government Minister) peddled when she had to pull back the market vendor regulations”.
“Is the problem that the Attorney-General, who usually controls every ministry is away and things are all going crazy”.
